Armed Police Arrested Forty-Eight Shouters, Five Sentenced to Prison Time

On May 21, 2017, the Public Security Bureau of the city of Jimo, Shandong Province, united multiple local police stations, dispatched more than twenty squad cars and over seventy armed police officers and raided a local Shouters meeting site, forcibly detaining forty-eight believers. Five co-workers of the Church were sentenced to prison terms.

Over a hundred Christians from a charismatic house church in Inner Mongolia were beaten by the local armed police while they were in a gathering in July 2017. One elderly believer approaching eighty fainted after being tased, four others were forcibly arrested. Two of them were held in custody.
