(新《宗教事務條例》). A new law on religion, signed on August 26, 2017, that came into force on February 1, 2018 as a legal framework for the policy about religion promoted by Xi Jinping. Together with parallel measures, it limits the activity of the legal religious organizations in the red market, vows to eliminate the gray market, compelling its communities to join the red market, and announces a further merciless crackdown on the black market.
