Some fell victim to indiscriminate shelling. But in other cases the destruction was deliberate.

Ruslan Khalikov
Ruslan Khalikov was born in Donetsk, Ukraine, and holds a Ph.D. in Religious Studies. In 2010–2012, he worked as an assistant professor of Philosophy and the Study of Religions in Donetsk. In 2018–2021, he worked as an assistant professor of the Study of Religions Philosophy in Ternopil. During 2016–2020, he headed the Workshop for the Academic Study of Religions. He is also a member of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Religion Researchers since 2017, and a member other professional organizations related to the study of religions and Western esotericism. In 2017, he established his own publishing house, which mainly deals with the publication of books on the study of religions and Western esotericism. His research interests include Western esotericism, counter-secular religiosity, traditionalism, new religious movements, and phenomenology of religion.
