As a patent attorney, the author understands the need for private and public integrity and for putting together science and conscience. It did not happen in the Tai Ji Men case.

Daniel Y. C. Lee
Daniel Y.C. Lee was born in Taipei, Taiwan. After obtaining a MD in Power Mechanics from National Tsing Hua University in 1996, he became a patent attorney, serving high-tech companies and protecting their intellectual property rights and cooperating with patent firms all over the world. After more than 23 years of work experience, he has witnessed the evolution of many technologies, and developed an interest on the balance between technology and law. In addition to his professional work experience, Daniel has practiced Tai Ji Men qigong and meditation for over 18 years. He is also a member and volunteer of the peace organizations Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL) and Association of World Citizens (AWC), as well as a volunteer/promoter for An Era of Conscience (ANEOC) Movement.
